Please read the rules carefully before you create a character bio!
CONDUCT
• Don’t insult/aggravate/provoke other members.
• If you have a problem with someone, just PM the admin. No one else.
• Don’t ask to be an admin.
• Don’t spam the boards or through PMs. Spammers will be temporarily or permanently disabled depending on repetitiveness and/or severity.
ACCOUNTS
• Create a separate account for each character. PM the admin if you have legitimate reason to share an account with two characters.
• Avatars must not exceed 100x200 pixels.
• Signatures must not exceed 480x230 pixels.
• Display name should have the character's first or last name in it clearly.
• Signatures and avatars must be relevant to your character or the Quack Shack in general.
• No advertising other role-play, proboards, or game sites in signatures.
CHARACTERS
• You can have as many characters as you want, but you must be willing to be active on all of them. An account that has not been logged into for over a month without notice is likely to be deleted.
• Any staff member can approve characters, but not their own.
• Characters do not have to be accepted before you begin playing, but if you begin playing a character whose bio is obviously inadequate, that account will be banned for three days.
• You are required to answer the secret question correctly in order for your character biography to be accepted. To find the answer to the secret question, highlight the line below this one.
My favorite flavor of pie is plum pie.
• Have a separate account for each character--little to no exceptions.
• The site features liquid time. This means one character can be in multiple topics at once. You are not limited to one per character.
• Characters’ images are usually determined by face claims/portrayers. This is simply a celebrity or other person you choose to use images of as your character. No two characters may have the same face claim unless both roleplayers are in mutual agreement about it. We would prefer you use face claims rather than drawn images to portray characters in order to keep some uniformity.
IN CHARACTER POSTS
• Posts must be at least 200 words long. One-liners and novels are both aggravating to read. Please do not exceed 2,000 words unless everyone participating in the topic is okay with it.
--• Please note the Submit button is disabled until the counter reaches 200 words.
--• Because THERAPY requires constant talking, posts in therapy topics may be a minimum of 50 words. In therapy boards, the Submit button is disabled until 50 words are reached.
• Be literate. Use spell check and proper grammar. Do not use chat speak in character. We’d prefer you didn’t use it out of character either.
• No powerplaying, godmodding, etc. without the permission of other roleplay participants affected. If you are going to land a hit or kill another character in a post, you need to discuss it with the affected character’s roleplayer first.
• You can fight however violently you want, and have as much gore as you want. You can swear as much as you want and as harshly as you want. You can have sex as graphic as you want [we’d prefer you took that to PMs]. But please, with dignity. Place an out of character warning at the top of questionable posts.
• When talking out of character, please signify you are doing so. Use brackets and such.
• If you make your font size 1, DO NOT change the actual font [ex, verdana, times new roman]. This is so that it does not become too difficult to read.
• Do not change the font color of an entire post. Certain characters' verbiage is fine, but changing the whole thing is very adverting to the eye and compared to the background, it BURNS.
