xander watched katze expectantly, waiting for the psychiatrist to finish his sentence. he was still for a few moments, scowling, then exhaled in a huff.

He was still in blank mode. After all this time at this job, he hadn't once fallen into 'blank mode' A mode where Katze just breaks down and everything goes blank. It's surprising that it hasn't happened before today, considering the strain of the job that he was being paid to do.
So he just, sat there with that expression. If he could deflate, he would. The poor man was basically out of it until further notice.

Lynx's blank mode was more severe, it's when his brain stops working completely, not Xander's 'angst mode' which he's always in btw.
So Lynx just snapped out of it and shook his head. Looks up at the male before him. "Oh, um... what was I saying again, Xander?"

do you know how to read? it has been stated on multiple occasions that xander's blank state is him completely shutting down. no thinking, no reacting, no nothing. so hush.
just your usual bullshit, xander replied with a frown. so he was not in a good mood today. or at least, he wasn't after katze's previous insistence that salvation was attainable by xander. huh. maybe he was a masochist. |

no. it isn't "emo." it's nothing. that's why it's called "blank." the point is xander's came first and was mentioned early on and lynx's randomly and suspiciously snuck up >:C
the look xander now gave katze was unlike any he had thrown at the blond before. it wasn't angry, wasn't anxious, wasn't really placeable at all. the words he used to accompany it were, you know what? no. you're always going on about how you can "help" me. why don't you actually make it at least look like you're trying, rather than sending me out an hour before i'm supposed to leave? |

after he heard katze out, xander felt his jaw tremble. he withheld a growl, a shout, whatever cry he sensed needing release. did he seriously have to hold up a blinking neon sign that read, i'm tired of going to my room and doing whatever. i'm tired of being alone. because he wasn't going to. he was not going to beg for lynx katze.
every day, you do this, he wrote instead. he made sure his face and his body language did not give away the desperation that was driving him. "what's your favorite color, xander? turquoise? okay, that will be all. you can leave now!"
seriously? you're the one who seems to believe so much that you can do something for me. now you're saying "it's impossible?" if you think you can do something, you have to try, so, god damn it, try! |
