Once upon a time in a kingdom lost through history...
There was a Princess, one of a voice that was like no other; it held such beauty that everyone in the land dared to hope at least once in their life to hear this Princess sing. The beautiful Princess, with fair blond hair, and blue eyes like the sea. A beauty no doubt with such fair skin that was a splendor to see. The people in the land always boasted about their precious Princess.
The kingdom was a happy one, everyone from the king to the peasants were delighted in the time they lived in...
Yet, there were some that hated this. The werewolves that lived in the forest by the castle; this castle a fortress to them. Its' walls protected the humans, it was a barrier to the wolves. If they dared to trespass they would be killed.
These werewolves were horrendous creatures, giant wolves that could stand on hind legs! They easily could kill a man with a fearsome bite--or a swipe of their massive claws! The humans had every right to fear these creatures, and to never venture into 'Wolves Land', the forest beyond the castle's garden.
Yet, among the werewolves there was a wolf feared above all! He was called King of the Wolves, since he led them all. His name, you ask? Xander. The largest, fiercest, and deadliest werewolf to have ever existed! Rumors say he was over 1000 years old.
This king, if you ever met the evil king, there was no doubt you would die.
One day, the Princess was sitting in her garden by the woods, singing softly to all the woodland creatures. The birds, squirrels, foxes, deer, rabbits, and a number of other woodlings ventured from their home to gather around to hear her beautiful voice. A crown of lilies being crafted by her fingers--she worked and sang the hours away.
Yet her voice had been heard by another! A man stepped out of the woods, in the grandest of cloths adored, made from finely woven fabrics that only royalty could afford! He was taken by the Princess's wonderful voice. He approached slowly, the animals parting as he came from behind. This rich man, reached forward to tap her upon the shoulder.
Startled, the fair maiden jumped slightly, turning around to see the sight before her! A handsome man, with eyes quite like a stormy sky, skin tanned by many days in the sun! Big, strong, with hair of dark brown hue, like the soil of the garden itself! His hair fell into his eyes, almost obscuring them from view of the beautiful lady. A kind smile to his face.
He stood there, but, when his mouth opened to speak not a sound came out! A sadness was shown in his face, and he looked ashamed that he could not speak. The man could not tell the dear Princess how much he loved her, how he had fallen in love at first sight!
The Princess, concerned, stood up and took his hand, "Good sir... It is my pleasure to meet you. I am Princess Lynx, of this land. I am sure, a man dressed as yourself, must be royalty! Please, you must come with me to meet my father, the king!"
Without a choice, he followed her. There, he was greeted by the king himself who found that yes, this man could not speak! It was assumed that an evil witch had stolen the assumed Prince's voice!
Even so, he was well loved by the King, who saw him as a son in the time to come. He lived there happily with the Princess, and so did the people of the kingdom come to love the silent Prince. Two seasons past, and the Autumn came. It was then that the King decided his daughter was to marry.
And with trials set, many men came from across the land, but it was at that time that Prince vanished.
It had been the day of the last match, the silent Prince and an evil knight had been the fighters, a joust. Yet, Princess Lynx had told her father that she wanted to marry the mysterious Prince--yet he said the man had to win in order to have her hand.
Unfortunately, though the Princess fled away in tears, the silent Prince had never shown.
It was a tragedy, and it was assumed that the silent Prince had wandered into the woods that he came from and perished to the fearsome werewolves. Princess Lynx was heartbroken at the loss of her Prince and was now forced to be wed to the evil knight Amadeus. The strongest man in the land, her father was happy to have such a powerful man to be his future son. How Amadeus did not care for Princess Lynx, but they were still to be wed. All Amadeus wanted was to be King one day.
Weeks past, and the wedding was planned. Princess Lynx fasted away in misery. She barely ate, barely slept, and was dead to the world. Even on the day of the wedding, it took much coaxing to get her into her beautiful ivory gown. An absolute splendor to the eyes. The fair maiden didn't care.
The organs played in the hall, and the Princess walked down the aisle. Lords and Ladies dressed in their finest, everyone happy that the Princess was getting wed. She was near the alter when suddenly the grand doors opened!
And there stood the silent Prince, yet he didn't stay still for long! He dashed, and picked the Princess into his arms. A leap! And he was above them all, on the stairs that led away from this glorious room.
Why he was running became apparent as a cackling, and ugly witch came in on her broom, cackling and screeching. The ugliest thing anyone had ever seen! With sick, green skin, and cloaked in purple with a point hat! A huge wart on her nose, and a broom that needed to be thrown away! It was obvious this witch was the evil with Luzure!
She pointed at the silent Prince, that held the fair maiden. She was overjoyed to see her love again, yet Princess Lynx was frightened! An evil witch was after them!
"Ke hee hee hee! Ah, you dare come back to the humans, King Xander?" A gasp! The silent Prince was the werewolf king? "Trying to stop our plot of taking over? My son Amadeus was going to marry the Princess and rule this land, but no, you had to stop it!"
A wolf-like snarl came from his lips.
"I took your voice so you couldn't speak! Yet still you can't break my curse without a kiss from the maiden you love!" She cackled. "Now you will die at my hands!"
King Xander, the worst enemy of Princess Lynx, looked into the maiden's eyes, asking to kiss her. Without hesitance, he was still the man she loved, leaned in and kissed her one true love.
Slowly parting, Witch Luzure sneered. "You may have your voice, but the Princess will be mine!" She screeched, and a beam of magic was sent! Xander set her down on the ground, running at the witch as he changed into a wolf. The battle was quick! A swipe of claws, and the witch lay on the ground dead.
The large wolf turned to face the crowd, they gasped in fear. Sir Amadeus stood forward, sword drawn. "I will slay you, evil beast!"
The werewolf snarled, and it was another quick battle, it was obvious that when the sword broke from the jaw of the werewolf--that he, Sir Amadeus, had lost.
The werewolf turned back to a man, and the silent Prince--no, King Xander turned to Princess Lynx. "...Princess... Will... I'm sorry for not telling you. I was cursed by the evil witch Luzure to not speak until I fell in love and kissed the woman of my dreams."
"I wandered around in my human form searching for a woman to love, when I chanced upon you singing. I fell in love with you at first sight. I tried to tell you, but my voice was robbed from me... I left, fleeing from the witch as I tried to make sure she didn't find you. I only came back because I learned of her evil plot. Can you forgive me?"
Rushing into his arms, the Princess did forgive them. With the King's approval now, and peace was made by the marriage of Lynx and Xander. The people of both kingdoms lived together in harmony and prosperity for many generations to come.
The. End.
