Lynx blinked a moment, then sighed a moment. "...Xander..." Frowning, he was standing there looking quite upset with this situation. The other wasn't going to tell him anything, was he.
"...Ah... Xander." A sigh, he went back and sat in his own chair. Still worried, his expression not very happy at all.

what? xander wrote after katze had muttered his name twice. he could figure out that the blond was concerned, but he was being himself; ignorant, selfish, etcetera...
but for some reason, today he did not feel very withdrawn.
it's like i'm a magnet, he wrote on impulse, brow furrowing. only the wrong kind, you know? the one that repels everything instead of drawing it in.
this nightmare had been a new one, pertaining to recent events...or lack thereof. |

"Tell me what the nightmare was about, Xander." His chair was closer, his expression still so concerned. What a sweet man he was to care so much for the other. Lynx was truly a saint!
Anyone could tell that the man was just so sweet, kind and caring that it should be a crime to be him. Lol.

i never said anything about a nightmare, the brunet began in defense. however, he eventually found himself erasing that and replacing it with something more insightful.
the ones i told you about a couple of weeks ago, he reminded lynx with a wince. with people i trust hurting me, leaving me, whatever... remember the girl i told you about, the one i made friends with in the cafeteria? i haven't seen her in three months. i mean, it isn't surprising. the lycanthrope paused to huff-laugh once. no one will stay around me for very long if they have a choice. but...she was my friend. at least i thought she was. she was the only person who really "reached out" to me since i got here. i guess, in the end, i was just some sort of temporary entertainment... |

I don't think she disappeared because she doesn't like you..." Pauses. "This place is known for locking up people for months at a time, correct? I believe it's that option and not her dislike you..."
Doing his very best to comfort the other, he was hoping that Xander took his heartfelt words to heart... And believing them.
Probably not the case, considering his luck.

if anything, xander thought that katze was just saying whatever he could to make him feel better. screw that, anyway.
i was stupid in the first place, the patient said now in complete disregard of lynx's words. to think for even a second that someone could actually take interest in me. and don't even think about telling me otherwise, he added, looking at katze. it isn't anything new. i've always been that guy in the back that no one wants anything to do with. |

Katze was two stages away from tears and wanted to hug Xander so tightly and tell him everything was okay, but that was probably the stupidest idea he had. At least, it was right now. He looked down and sighed sadly. "...That's a viewpoint we're going to have to fix, then."
Looks up at the werewolf with a smile. "...Don't worry, some people like you. I guarentee it."

the lycanthrope at first looked at katze disbelievingly. then he took the time to see past the shell he saw on the psychiatrist and notice that there was a human under there. he noted the concern in lynx's expression, glanced up at stan, who was beside him as always.
yeah, i guess, xander eventually admitted.
god, he was being so unfair. he always went off on his "nobody loves me" speeches, and poor lynx, poor stan, and poor dan were left forgotten. they deserved to be acknowledged, didn't they? |

Smiles at the other's admittance. He looked quite happy to hear that, and even just stayed there sitting with a great expression; much more cheered now.
Of course, he stopped doing anything and just waited for a moment to ruin the moment. "...Did you neglect your medicine last night, Xander?"

see, the only problem with lynx, stan, and dan giving a shit about xander was that they had all met under the wrong circumstances. it couldn't have been "oh hi neighbor!" it had to be "hey let's beat the shit out of each other and see who collapses first!" or "you're totally fucking insane! i'll fix you right up, wolfy!"
no, the brunet responded immediately. why would i? i love that shit. it helps me sleep at night. |
