the scream was like a gunshot to the wolf’s ears. it yelped in terrible pain, releasing katze’s bloody wrist, but the beast’s pain only fueled it further. now it went for the therapist’s neck and shoulder, not latching on but snapping repeatedly. the cat was ignored but the man’s shouts, especially those in words, angered the monster even more. the wolf readied itself to make a fatal bite to the man’s throat, but a thunderous force came down upon its back. while it had been too distracted with ripping lynx apart, the door had been broken in to make way for stan. his fist was what had struck the wolf’s back. it was presently snarling in pain and surprise and soon proceeded to tackle his guard. before he could do any real damage besides knock the larger man off his feet, he was forcefully kicked in the side and away from stan. he and dan had switched out less than a minute ago, and once he heard the racket, dan had rushed back to the therapist’s office and was now pinning xander on the ground. the wolf snarled and snapped at him, writhing in an effort to get away. dan consequently punched him in the mouth, after which the wolf nipped his hand. then the guard’s other fist cracked against xander’s cheek. after yelping and snarling some more, the wolf kicked at dan in an effort to get him off. he had almost succeeded, but the bigger man took a fistful of his hair, yanked him up, and slammed his head into the ground. xander’s yelp was cut short as he became motionless below dan.
since he had been “rescued” by his twin, stan had gone to lynx and thrown the therapist’s unharmed arm around his shoulders, helping him up.
“dan, get a doctor,” he said gruffly, which dan proceeded to do once he had exited the room in a hurry. stan looked back down at lynx, who was pretty bloody. the guard withheld a grin. he had been further maimed by the wolfman when he had first become his guard, but he didn’t share that tidbit of information with lynx as he set the psychiatrist down in one of the chairs. “don’t pass out. it’s not as bad as it could be. you’ll be fine, just wait until someone gets in here to help.”

From being torn apart to lying there (ish) by one of the twin guards. Lynx was quite thankful the steak was safely hidden from sight, and crap like that, the cat had done wise to put it in his private secret desk draw that no one could find except him without getting blown up (him and the cat). A shudder came from his body, and he was struggling to sit up.
Lynx tried to sit up, but failed. he was in a crumpled heap again clutching at the major wounds in his neck and on his chest. A shudder ran through his body more than once, the fear was beyond obvious. Blurry eyes, with tears, looked at the guard. It was plain to see he was scared shitless. Thankfully he didn't shit himself or piss said self.
Kinda clutches to the other, getting the man bloody.
"...I... ...I'm sorry... my fault..." Is all he could mutter.

stan didn’t mind the blood a whole lot. it was only that he had just gotten to work and now he had to go around with blood on his shirt and get it stained, but he was a man, not a woman, so it wasn’t the end of the world.
“no, it wasn’t,” he said in response to katze, like he had been in there the whole time and seen it happen. he might as well have been. he knew xander well enough. “xander isn’t afraid to take responsibility for his actions, you know. you don’t have to do it for him.”
moments later, dan led in a couple of doctors sporting a stretcher. stan helped lynx onto it, then grabbed the unconscious, bleeding-from-the-mouth-and-head xander. for now, lynx would be taken to the infirmary, then moved to a hospital if he wished. once they were on their way, dan felt free to leave. which he did. lol.

And as he was on the stretcher, Lynx handed a clicker to Stan, muttering something about 'Make sure the cat's okay'...
It was at that time that he finally submitted to the call of unconciousness.
The poor dear, he was basically at the mercy of the doctors there! Oh boy.
