•• hunter looks like a brooding, skulking, but pretty harmless kid. he gives off the appearance of a slightly troubled and avoidant teen, perhaps bordering on anorexic. he may look to be on the thin or fragile side, but his weight is all muscle.
his hair and his clothes scream "metalhead." his hair is long, just about reaching his shoulders. he used to dye it black, but in the past few months of transferring from prison to prison, it grew back out to its natural color. hunter hates it, but keeps up his appearance otherwise anyway. he wears mostly black--t-shirts, tank tops, hoodies, tripp pants and such. sometimes he wears a choker, usually some kind of wristband.
the strangest thing about hunter's appearance is likely his eyes. they are naturally amber, a mutation of brown that runs in his family. he takes unusual pride in them. he says they bring out the animal in him.

•• anyone who knows him for more than five minutes knows that hunter is more than what he seems. his brooding and skulking conceive hateful plots. the disturbed image runs much deeper than skin. his habit of avoiding people is partnered with his love of watching people suffer from afar.
of course, he enjoys it up close, too. hunter is very combative, very vengeful, and will pick a fight wherever he can. he hates losing, and that doesn't happen a lot. people underestimate him, mistaking his lithe build for weakness. but hunter enjoys beating his wrath into others, and is good at it. and perhaps the most dangerous part of the man is his mind. he never lets go of grudges and will stop at nothing for vengeance, perpetually and carefully plotting against his enemies.

• history: hunter was pretty much a regular kid throughout most of his childhood. then, the plot came in.
when he was fourteen, hunter and his parents received news that his best friend, his older brother, devin, had been shot and killed in a hunting accident. with him died the world to hunter. the kid was never very good with coping, and his psychological state quickly deteriorated following this tragedy. hunter had always been a troublemaker, but until then his stunts had been mostly harmless. his shenanigans transformed into violent outbursts. he accidentally-on-purpose killed the family's new puppy. he got into fistfights at school and in the neighborhood and openly broke the law whenever he could, even as simply as disregarding curfew and j-walking just to get in trouble. once he actually punched a police officer in the face. he spent two months of his freshman year, six of his sophomore, and three of his junior year in juvenile hall.
in the middle of his junior year, hunter managed to calm down some. he even made friends with another boy his age from down the street named laurence. however, shortly after graduating, hunter learned who was responsible for devin's death. it had been devin's own best friend, chris, who lived only two doors down from them.
despite his brother's death being an accident, hunter hated chris and wanted him to suffer as much as he did. he acted like it was okay, but secretly, he plotted to make chris miserable. the price didn't matter to hunter--he would get his revenge. and so, when he saw chris's sister, courtney, traipsing around on her brother's roof as she often did when she visited him, hunter took a silenced airsoft gun and shot her in the back of the head. she fell forward off the roof and split her head open on the concrete porch. it was believed that she had fallen of her own carelessness--that it was an accident.
half a year later, hunter decided that watching chris torture himself over his sister's death wasn't enough. he broke into chris's house in the middle of the night with a knife. he stabbed chris three times in the stomach and revealed that he blamed chris for devin's death. shortly before hunter was going to slit his throat, he was taised and arrested by police who had been given an anonymous tip notifying them of the situation.
in court, hunter learned that the anonymous call had been made by none other than his best friend, laurence, who saw him both shoot courtney and break into chris's house. the jury quickly found him guilty, of both first degree murder and attempted murder. he was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole, transferring between some number of prisons before winding up in the quattrocchi site.
